A band saw is a machine with a toothed metal band (saw blade) that rotates around two flywheels steadily, without back-and-forth motion. This feature makes them highly efficient as they have a large cutting surface and prevents them from overheating easily as they are equipped with cooling equipment as standard. The cutting gap is located between the two flywheels. Depending on the type of blade and its orientation, they will be suitable for cutting different materials.
AUTOMATIC BAND SAW
The automatic band saw does not have to be operated by the operator, all movements are driven by a hydraulic unit that controls the raising and lowering of the arch, opening and closing of the clamp and the material feeder carriage. It is possible to program different cutting lengths and different cutting numbers, all of which can be programmed by the CNC.
